Manchester United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer may be looking to spring a surprise on rivals Manchester City in Wednesday night’s Carabao Cup semi-final clash.
According to Mirror, the Red Devils coach introduced a new face to the training ground on Tuesday as 18-year-old Ethan Galbraith linked up with the first team.
The youngster was joined by a number of other academy stars including Tahith Chong, Angel Gomes and James Garner at the club’s Carrington training base.
United have it all to do in the second leg of their league cup semi-final at the Etihad.
The Red Devils trail their bitter rivals by three goals to one after the first leg in which Bernardo Silva and Riyad Mahrez ran riot.
Solskjaer has made a point of introducing younger players to the first team this season, with Brandon Williams now a mainstay in United’s starting XI.
