The effort, coordinated through Madison Square Garden Sports Corp. and the Garden of Dreams Foundation, is designed to ensure that young people from all five boroughs get the chance to experience the highest stage of basketball in person a moment that many would otherwise never have access to.

At the heart of the initiative is the Garden of Dreams Foundation Youth program, which will receive 250 tickets for each Finals home game. That allocation guarantees at least 500 total tickets for Games 3 and 4 at Madison Square Garden, with the possibility of the total rising to 750 tickets should a Game 6 be played in New York. The distribution will prioritize underserved families and youth organizations affiliated with the foundation’s wide network of community partners throughout the region.

The Garden of Dreams Foundation, which has worked closely with the MSG family of organizations for years, continues to focus on creating life-changing opportunities for young people facing hardship. Since its founding in 2006, the foundation has already impacted more than 480,000 youth across the tri-state area, offering access to educational programs, mentorship, and unforgettable live experiences. This latest Finals initiative marks one of its most high-profile outreach efforts to date.

Speaking on the announcement, MSG Entertainment executive Rich Constable emphasized the importance of making sure the excitement of a championship run extends beyond celebrities and season-ticket holders. He highlighted that the organization views the Knicks’ Finals appearance as a shared moment for the entire city especially for young fans who rarely get the chance to step inside Madison Square Garden during its most historic nights.

Beyond basketball, the initiative underscores a broader mission: turning the Knicks’ playoff success into a citywide celebration that reflects New York’s diversity, resilience, and community spirit. For many of the children attending, it will not just be a game it will be their first live Finals experience, an introduction to the energy of Madison Square Garden at its peak, and potentially a memory that lasts a lifetime.

As the Knicks prepare for what could be a historic Finals run, the organization is ensuring that the spotlight shines beyond the court. In doing so, they are turning championship basketball into something larger than competition  a shared celebration with the next generation of fans who may one day dream of playing under those same bright lights.
