In a charged SEC showdown, the Alabama Crimson Tide secured a pivotal 96–92 road victory over the rival Auburn Tigers on Saturday. Guard Labaron Philon Jr. powered Alabama with 25 points, six assists, and five rebounds to guide the Tide through a hostile environment at Neville Arena.

Coming off the bench, Bediako contributed 12 points and three rebounds in 22 minutes of action. However, much of the spotlight centered on the reaction he received from the Auburn student section. As he stepped to the free-throw line, fans repeatedly chanted “G League dropout,” referencing his stint in the NBA G League and the scrutiny surrounding his eligibility upon returning to the college ranks.

Despite the taunts, the outcome favored Alabama. The win improved the Crimson Tide to 16–7 overall and 6–4 in SEC play, giving them a much-needed boost in conference standings.

Elsewhere in college basketball, major headlines included Kansas State Wildcats moving on from Jerome Tang, a suspension handed down by the Big East Conference, and injury news impacting BYU guard Richie Saunders.
