Axl Rose, born in 1962, is the unpredictable and passionate frontman of Guns N’ Roses. With a voice spanning octaves and emotions, he led the band through Appetite for Destruction (1987), which included “Welcome to the Jungle,” “Sweet Child o’ Mine,” and “Paradise City.” GNR followed with the ambitious Use Your Illusion I & II (1991), and Rose became infamous for late shows and incendiary performances. After years of retreat, he returned with Chinese Democracy (2008), showcasing a new sound. In 2016, Rose reunited with Slash and Duff McKagan for the Not in This Lifetime tour, one of the highest-grossing tours ever. He also briefly fronted AC/DC in 2016 after Brian Johnson’s health issues. Axl remains one of rock’s most iconic and unpredictable voices.
