GOODNEWS: Wildcats Secure an International Signing for the 2026 Season.

The offseason buzz around Kentucky men’s basketball continues to build, even after the NCAA transfer portal officially closed earlier this week. While the Wildcats have already strengthened their backcourt with several guard additions, head coach Mark Pope is now turning his attention to reinforcing the frontcourt with size, versatility, and international experience.

Kentucky just picked up a commitment from Ousmane N'Diaye. 🖊️

On Friday, Kentucky officially secured a key addition with the signing of Senegalese forward Ousmane N’Diaye for the 2026 season, as announced via UK Sports Network. The 22-year-old brings professional experience from Europe, having played last season with Vanoli Basket Cremona in Italy’s top-tier league.

During his stint in Italy, N’Diaye appeared in 26 games, averaging 10.2 points and 6.7 rebounds per contest. Known for his length and mobility at 6-foot-11, he also demonstrated perimeter potential by shooting 32.1% from beyond the arc—an asset that could stretch opposing defenses and complement Kentucky’s evolving offensive system.

N’Diaye has previously tested the NBA waters, declaring for the 2023 NBA Draft before withdrawing, and later entering the 2025 draft, where he ultimately went unselected. Now, he shifts his focus to the college game, where he is expected to provide immediate impact in the paint while adding depth and experience to the Wildcats’ roster.

With this addition, Kentucky continues to reshape its lineup ahead of the upcoming season, blending youthful talent with seasoned international players as the program looks to remain competitive at the highest level.
