REPORT: Kansas State Wildcats Strengthen Depth With Addition of Talented Tennessee Prospect

New Casey Alexander continues to reshape the future of Kansas State Wildcats by adding another promising young talent to the program’s growing recruiting class. The Wildcats strengthened their long-term roster outlook this week with the commitment of versatile Class of 2026 prospect Nash Stark, a 6-foot-7 wing from Lipscomb Academy in Nashville.

The addition marks another recruiting victory for Alexander as he continues building connections from his previous coaching stops into Kansas State’s program. Before arriving in Manhattan, Alexander spent several successful seasons coaching at Lipscomb Bisons from 2013 through 2019, giving him deep familiarity with the Nashville basketball scene and strong relationships throughout the area.

Interestingly, Stark had originally been projected to join Alexander’s former program at Belmont before ultimately deciding to follow the coach’s recruiting vision to Kansas State instead. The connection between the two programs has become increasingly clear, as several of the Wildcats’ recent high school additions were once expected to begin their college careers with the Belmont Bruins before Alexander made the move to the Big 12.

Stark becomes the third high school player to commit to Kansas State under Alexander’s leadership, joining highly regarded prospects Jaylen Alexander and Devin Hutcherson. The new Wildcats coach has clearly prioritized adding youthful athleticism and developmental upside as he reshapes the roster for the future.

Beyond basketball, Stark also built an impressive reputation as a multi-sport athlete during his high school career. He played baseball at a high level and reportedly drew Division II interest on the diamond as well. According to his Prep Baseball profile, Stark recorded an impressive exit velocity of 101.8 mph, highlighting the kind of raw athletic ability he brings to the program.

With Alexander continuing to lean into his Tennessee recruiting ties, Kansas State appears focused on assembling a roster filled with versatile, high-upside prospects capable of developing into impact contributors at the collegiate level. The latest commitment further demonstrates that the Wildcats’ offseason recruiting efforts remain active as Alexander continues putting his stamp on the program.
