BATON ROUGE, La. The postseason spotlight is here, and LSU Track & Field is ready to make its mark as the Tigers head to Auburn, Alabama, for the SEC Outdoor Championships at the Hutsell-Rosen Track this weekend.

After finishing seventh on the women’s side and ninth on the men’s side at last year’s SEC Outdoor Championships in Lexington, LSU returns stronger, faster, and determined to climb the standings.
Events to Watch
Women’s 100 Meters
All eyes will be on transfer standout Shawnti Jackson as she makes her SEC Championship debut in purple and gold. The redshirt sophomore ranks No. 2 in the SEC and No. 3 nationally after blazing to a season-best 10.93 seconds. LSU’s sprint squad also features rising stars Tima Godbless, Athaleyha Hinckson, and Aniyah Bigam, giving the Tigers serious scoring potential in one of the meet’s marquee races.

Women’s 100-Meter Hurdles
LSU’s dynamic hurdle duo, Salieci Myles and Adeyah Brewster, enter the weekend as two of the fastest women in the country. Both own matching 12.92-second performances this season, ranking fourth in the SEC and sixth nationally.
With only a select few athletes breaking the 13-second barrier this year, the Tigers are primed for a strong medal push.
Men’s 4×400-Meter Relay
The LSU men’s relay squad has been one of the nation’s most dominant groups all season, consistently holding the No. 2 ranking in both the SEC and NCAA. Amal Glasgow, Shakeem McKay, Grant Buckmiller, and Gregory Prince combined for a blistering 3:01.43 earlier this year, while Jeremiah Walker and Malachi Austin provide even more firepower heading into championship racing.
Men’s Long Jump
Jordan Turner enters Auburn with unfinished business after earning silver indoors. Now, the SEC’s top-ranked long jumper and the NCAA’s No. 4 athlete in the event, Turner will look to turn his season-best leap of 8.08 meters into conference gold.

Women’s Discus Throw
Few event groups in the nation have matched the consistency and dominance of LSU’s women’s discus squad. Princesse Hyman, Leah Acosta, Jillian Scully, and Ambria Langley have powered the Tigers to the conference’s top-ranked discus unit all season. Hyman’s school-record throw of 59.90 meters continues to lead a trio of LSU athletes ranked inside the SEC’s top 10.
Men’s Javelin Throw
Jack Larriviere returns to postseason competition as one of the SEC’s premier throwers. The LSU standout owns a season-best throw of 78.66 meters, ranking third in the conference and fourth nationally. Alongside Paul Catalanatto and Jackson Rimes, who have also surpassed the 70-meter mark this season, LSU brings one of the SEC’s deepest javelin squads into Auburn.
