According to MLB insider Robert Murray, Chapman could be the ideal fit for Philadelphia as president of baseball operations Dave Dombrowski evaluates ways to upgrade a roster built to contend immediately.
Dombrowski has earned a reputation for making bold deadline moves, and with the Phillies remaining within striking distance in the National League East, many around baseball expect him to be active. With stars such as Bryce Harper, Kyle Schwarber, J.T. Realmuto, Trea Turner, and Zack Wheeler all in their 30s, many believe the Phillies must act decisively while their championship window remains open.
