The son of former MLB All-Star Carl Crawford is quickly carving out his own reputation, and this game was a perfect example.

In that matchup, Crawford recorded:

  • His first extra-base hit
  • His first RBI
  • His first walk-off hit

His extra-base hit came early, as he drove a double to the opposite field over the head of James Wood, who plays left field for the Washington Nationals.

Later, with the game tied in the 10th inning and runners on first and third, Crawford delivered again. He hit the first pitch he saw a fastball through the infield, bringing in the winning run. The hit not only secured the victory but also marked both his first RBI and his first walk-off in dramatic fashion.

Crawford finished the day going 3-for-5, boosting an already impressive batting average above .300. While he’s currently batting near the bottom of the lineup, his performance shows he can still be a major offensive threat.

If he continues playing at this level, he could become an important piece for the Phillies moving forward but for now, this game stands as a memorable early highlight in his career.
