Rookie standout JJ Wetherholt delivered a breakout performance, powering the Cardinals with two home runs as part of a dominant day at the plate. He opened the scoring immediately, launching a home run on just the third pitch of the game off Royals starter Stephen Kolek, setting the tone for St. Louis’ aggressive offensive start.
