It was a night of highs and sudden concern for St. Louis Cardinals shortstop Masyn Winn, who was involved in a car accident shortly after delivering a game-winning performance against the Mets on Wednesday.

According to reports, Winn was in a single-vehicle crash on Interstate 64, with wet road conditions believed to be a contributing factor. Fortunately, early updates confirmed that he did not sustain any serious injuries.

In an official statement, the Cardinals said Winn was alone in the car at the time of the incident and received immediate attention from local authorities, as well as team security and medical personnel.
