Kentucky’s coaching rebuild under Mark Pope may not be finished just yet, as a high-profile name continues to linger in the background. According to recent reporting from KSR, former NBA star Jamal Crawford remains a live candidate to join the Wildcats’ staff, despite earlier expectations that his opportunity may have passed.
The Wildcats already made a notable addition this offseason by bringing in former NBA All-Star Mo Williams, a move designed to strengthen player development and enhance recruiting reach. Williams has quickly become a key presence on the recruiting trail alongside Pope, and early signs suggest the partnership could pay dividends in the coming seasons. With that foundation in place, Kentucky appears interested in further elevating its staff with another experienced professional voice.
That next potential addition could still be Crawford.
