JUST IN: Phillies’ Sánchez Headlines NL All-Star Lineup

The Los Angeles Dodgers will once again be well represented on baseball’s biggest midsummer stage, with Freddie Freeman, Max Muncy and Andy Pages all earning spots in the National League’s starting lineup for the 2026 MLB All-Star Game at Citizens Bank Park in Philadelphia.

Major League Baseball officially announced the starting lineups on Monday, confirming that three Dodgers will take the field from the opening pitch for the National League, matching the club’s strong presence in last year’s Midsummer Classic.

Freeman continues remarkable All-Star run

Veteran first baseman Freddie Freeman will bat third for the National League, moving up one spot after serving as the cleanup hitter in last year’s All-Star Game.

The selection marks another milestone in Freeman’s decorated career. It is his fifth consecutive All-Star appearance since joining the Dodgers and the 10th All-Star selection overall. He will also make the sixth All-Star Game start of his career, further cementing his place among baseball’s elite hitters.

Freeman has once again been one of the National League’s most consistent offensive performers, making him a natural choice to hit near the top of the lineup.

Max Muncy reaches another career milestone

Third baseman Max Muncy will make history for the Dodgers by earning his first career All-Star Game start.

Batting fifth in the National League order, Muncy becomes the first Dodgers third baseman to start an All-Star Game since franchise legend Ron Cey accomplished the feat in 1977.

Although this is Muncy’s third career All-Star selection, it is his first appearance in the Midsummer Classic since 2021 and the first time fans and coaches have rewarded him with a starting role.

His power production and steady offensive contributions throughout the first half of the season helped secure the long-awaited honor.

Andy Pages makes All-Star debut

One of the biggest stories for the Dodgers is rookie center fielder Andy Pages, who has earned the first All-Star selection of his young major league career.

Pages will patrol center field while batting eighth in the National League lineup, capping an impressive breakout season that has quickly established him as one of the league’s emerging stars.

The young outfielder’s combination of athleticism, defense and offensive production made him one of the National League’s most deserving first-time All-Stars.

Phillies’ Sánchez gets hometown start

The National League will hand the ball to Philadelphia Phillies left-hander Cristopher Sánchez, allowing the hometown ace to start in front of the Citizens Bank Park crowd.

Meanwhile, the American League will counter with Toronto Blue Jays right-hander Dylan Cease, setting up an intriguing pitching matchup to open Tuesday night’s showcase.
