The Kansas State Wildcats women’s basketball program is set to gain valuable offseason exposure as four of its players prepare to compete in the upcoming USA Basketball 3X Women’s Showcase, scheduled for May 9–10 in Mesa, Arizona. The event, held at Arizona Athletic Grounds, will be open to the public and serves as a key evaluation platform for future national team opportunities in the growing 3×3 format.

Representing Kansas State at the showcase will be senior Taryn Sides, juniors Mikayla Parks and Ramiya White, and sophomore Brandie Harrod. In addition to competing against several collegiate programs, participants will also be assessed alongside athletes attending the USA Basketball 3×3 development camp, with the potential to earn spots on future national teams.
Unlike traditional 5-on-5 basketball, the 3×3 format is played on a half-court with a fast-paced structure, featuring a 10-minute game clock and a 12-second shot clock. Teams score using one- and two-point shots, with the first to reach 21 points or the team leading when time expires declared the winner. The continuous style of play emphasizes quick decision-making, conditioning, and versatility.
Kansas State will open the preliminary round on May 9 with three matchups against Phoenix, Stephen F. Austin Ladyjacks, and Fairfield Stags women’s basketball. Additional competition will include programs like Arizona State Sun Devils women’s basketball and South Dakota State Jackrabbits women’s basketball, along with select developmental squads.
Among the Wildcats participants, Sides stands out following a strong 2025–26 campaign, leading the team in scoring while also contributing significantly in assists and three-point shooting. Harrod also made a major impact in her freshman season, starting most games and emerging as one of the team’s top rebounders. White and Parks add depth and experience, each looking to expand their roles and showcase their abilities on a national stage.
The Wildcats are coming off a 19–18 season, marking their fifth consecutive postseason appearance, and return a solid core heading into 2026–27. Participation in the showcase not only offers individual development opportunities but also reflects the program’s continued presence on the national radar as it builds toward the future.
