The young outfielder hit a solo shot during a loss to the Boston Red Sox, marking his seventh home run in just 15 games this season. That’s already more than he managed throughout all of last year, highlighting a dramatic turnaround in form.

With this hot start, Walker joins franchise legends like Albert Pujols, Scott Rolen, and Mark McGwire as one of the few Cardinals players to hit at least seven home runs in the team’s first 15 games of a season. Only Pujols and Rolen recorded more during that stretch.

While it’s far too early to predict a historic season on the level of those stars, Walker’s production so far signals a major leap forward compared to his previous years. He currently leads the league in home runs and is posting strong offensive numbers, combining power with improved consistency at the plate.

Beyond his hitting, Walker has also shown growth defensively in right field and remains a strong presence on the bases, adding to his overall value.

Although the season is still young, his breakout start is one of the most encouraging developments for St. Louis. Even if his numbers settle later on, this version of Walker represents a significant step up and offers hope for sustained success moving forward.
