After more than a decade of persistence and steady development, Jonny Brodzinski has reached a defining moment in his career as his future with the New York Rangers remains uncertain heading into free agency.

Selected in the fifth round of the 2013 NHL Draft, Brodzinski’s path to becoming a full-time NHL contributor was anything but quick. He spent years moving between the American Hockey League and the NHL, gradually refining his game and earning trust as a reliable depth option. It wasn’t until the past two seasons that he firmly established himself as a regular on the Rangers’ roster, marking a significant milestone in a career built on patience and consistency.
During the 2025–26 season, Brodzinski appeared in 55 games, registering six goals and 10 assists for 16 points while averaging just over 11 minutes of ice time per night. While those numbers may not stand out statistically, they reflect his role as a flexible, low-maintenance contributor who could be deployed in a variety of situations.
