Kentucky baseball head coach Nick Mingione wasted little time responding to a recent setback on the recruiting trail, continuing to add talent despite losing an experienced arm to the transfer portal.
After seeing veteran right-hander Oliver Boone leave for Arizona State, Mingione quickly shifted his focus toward the future, adding another highly regarded pitching prospect to an already impressive 2027 recruiting class.
The latest addition is Keegan Schwarting, a promising young right-hander whose dominant high school performances have made him one of the Wildcats’ most intriguing long-term commitments.
Mingione Quickly Rebounds After Transfer Loss
The departure of Boone initially appeared to slow Kentucky’s productive offseason.
